Develop and Deliver Accredited CME Activities

Karen Kaminskas, MS Ed, Certified Healthcare CPD Professional

With over 25 years’ experience in the healthcare field, Karen has provided oversight and administrative support to medical education providers across the country, both large and small, state and national, in a broad scope of organizational types.  Karen combines her strong knowledge of best practices in accredited CME program delivery processes, her passion for ‘raising the bar of  CME/CPD programs’, and her experience in CME and Education Development leadership and surveyor roles to support improved educational practices, program delivery, and compliance. She has been an active member and leader in the Alliance for Continuing Education in the Health Professions since 2008.

Objectives:

As a result of participating in this course, learners will be able to:

  • Identify and define the 5 major differences in planning and delivering accredited CME from other forms of medical education.
  • Develop strategies for integrating the key best practices in accredited CME program planning and delivery.
  • Integrate key accredited CME requirements into learners’ own content planning and delivery.
